    3rd Challenge Home for Christmas

Post by BlueIsis on Wed Jan 11, 2012 5:09 am

Indy and Larissa arrive back home in Brisbane for the traditional hot Christmas.

As soon as they have rested up they decide to get ready for Xmas. Larissa starts on cooking food for the family Xmas gathering.

Whilst Larissa has been busy in the kitchen Indy went to pick up the tree and set about decorating it.

Larissa is impressed by Indy's decorating abilities. It's Xmas Eve and they are going to entertain at the local retirement village and will be bringing Indy's grandfather home to celebrate Xmas with the family.

It was a great evening everyone enjoyed the entertainment Indy accompanied Larissa on the piano as she sang Xmas carols. Of course everyone ended up singing along.

They spent a day at one of Brisbane's tourist attraction Southbank this was originally the 1988 World Expo Site, it covers a large area on the south bank of the river, hence the name. They decide to have lunch at one of the restaurants on the wharf area after a dip in the man made lagoon. After lunch they walk up to the Queensland Museum to view some of the newly renovated exhibits.

Time to hit the gym and work of some of those extra calories they consumed over Xmas.

They are now fit and can hardly what to start their next challenge.

    The End for now.

P.S. here is a link to the South Bank Parklands for those who want to know what it actually looks like. I had wanted to do the lagoon but couldn't figure out how to get the look right. The lagoon was inundated by flood-waters last January and became a muddy mess also people living by the river were given permission to take the sand from the beach for sandbags. After several months it returned to its pre-flood condition.

Looks like Indie and Larissa had a great time back at home for the holidays. Can't wait till we all get back to our whirlwind travel.
